hp question
my school's car club is having a dyno day this month and i was just curious to what my 67 straight 6, 3 on the tree should be making. it's bone stock just rebuild the carb last week and replaced the fuel pump.

At the rear wheels? .. hmm.. maybe about 130. (It's a wild guess.. I'm interested to see if i'm anywhere close! lol)

If I remember the factory rating was about 140 for the 250.Since there is a loss thru the driveline I would guess rear wheel HP would be about 90-100.That is on a new engine,with everything in mint condition.Since the truck is almost 40 years old and probably has some wear maybe 70-80 HP.The formula for HP is something about torquexrpm with some other factors also.As rpm goes up if torque stays the same then hp should go up.Let us know what you come up with,otherwise curiosity may kill this "KAT".
BTW I have a 6 also.

my guess is about 90 hp and 190 ft/lbs @ just above idle. i'll definatly let you guys know when it happens. we're just waiting for the dyno to be set up. the owner is friends with the club and could be this weekend.
