1967 Chevy truck VIDEOS! Before and After
I finally figured out the whole "internet video" thing. At least I think I did. Attached are links to videos I did of my truck.
The first is back in february right before I started messing with the truck. The tailpipe smoke is because it was like 20 degrees out and I had just started the truck. I've also fixed the squeaky fan belt. http://youtube.com/watch?v=XQNQMlTcHwc The next video is just one I did of the engine bay. Nothing fancy. Just a driver, but it should look decent when I get enough time to clean it up. Yes, the air cleaner filter is missing, but the old one was so plugged with sanding dust and dirt it was choking the engine. I have a new one to go on. http://youtube.com/watch?v=nW3IRp-H_9I The final video is a walk around the truck truck after it was "finished." I still have a lot to do, but it's drivable http://youtube.com/watch?v=VfgDhrJvVmw Edit: The videos were done with a "camera" video mode, so they are not the best. If you click on the little box that makes them smaller, they look a lot clearer.

That is a sweet looking truck. I've been following the buildup you've been doing on that truck for the last few months. I think I am going to try and paint both of mine like you did, even though I've never painted before, whenever I can get enough money saved up. I would like to be able to do my own bodywork so I don't have to take it to someone and leave it sitting in a strange place but since I don't know how to do bodywork I guess I will have to let someone else do it.

I have one question. How did you get it done so fast? I've been waiting almost 4 years now to start on mine but am nowhere near ready to start on either one. I know it had to cost a good bit of money.

Re: 1967 Chevy truck VIDEOS! Before and After
Excluding the price of the truck I have about 6K into it. I spent about 4K of that this year and the rest was 2 years ago when I did the disk brakes and 350 swap. I bought all of the parts from board memebers, vendors, and swap meets. saved A LOT of $$$ doing that. Everything was done 100% at home. I probably owe myself about 10K in back-pay
How did I get it done so fast? Shoot, it felt like forever to me. I took fridays off from work here and there and worked through entire weekends to get it done. It's still not done either. I still need to finish the interior and inside the bed. I think it took about 8 months. I've owned the truck since 1996 and I've dreamed of this since then, so my 10 years has your 4 beat I also have a very loving and understanding girlfriend (3 years together). I used my Christmas bonus and tax refunds to pay for about 1/3 of what I spent and the rest went on a credit card that I had 1 year no interest on (and I paid it off before I paid ANY interest). I also brought my lunch to work a lot and stayed away from the mall and the electronics section at Wal-Mart

I've been watching your build. You've done an outstanding job and, far as I can tell.. you're an amatuer schmoo like me, not a pro like some of our friends on here..
That is not meant as an insult.. it's meant to say.. you give me hope. lol

Re: 1967 Chevy truck VIDEOS! Before and After
I've been tinkerin' with stuff since I was a youngin, but all it really takes is patience. I did a lot of reading and learned a lot on here
It's not rocket science. It's not real easy either though Y'all didn't see things like: Me jumping up and down on the goodmark doors to get the window rail out a 1/2" or me rewelding my fuel filler door in areas about 3 times
