Pics of my cute '68 GMC!! :)
Well here she is...68 GMC 1500...just a cute little truck, got her running good, needed a distributor!! Not 100% sure if I am going to keep her or not..but for now, thought I would show ya some pics! We put the tires & wheels on, they came off one we junked. We almost sold them for $125!! Good thing we didn't! The guy changed the intake & put on a small 2 barrel carb, that has GOT to go!!!
She brakes real hard, needs a power brake booster BIGTIME!!! LOL! |

Is that a Chevy front bumber on there? Overall a clean ride you have there. What type of mirrors are you planning to use? I like the little stock round ones.

Nice ride. I'd keep this one.

Re: Pics of my cute '68 GMC!! :)
the small letter gate is a 67/68 item only... they are harder to find, but I dunno if I would call them rare.
Tree, i like that one... in some ways, better than the last one. It was too pretty... you couldn't do anything in it. You can make this one look nice, but not so nice that you can't load a bed full of crap in it and haul ass down the driveway sideways. |

Re: Pics of my cute '68 GMC!! :)
OK, help me out here, what does small letter gate mean? lol....I probably should know this!
I appreciate the comments guys! It is just such a fun little truck, we painted the gray spots black....less obvious! The body is very straight, don't really see any major rust anywhere. I think I am just look for the mirrors I had on the C10...basic cheap mirror, so I can see if I back up, lol. The interior lacks...but it was painted, and the dash seems ok. Thanks though guys!!!!!!!!!! |

Tree I agree with Longhornman, I think I like this one better than your other one, and I LOVED the red one.

Re: Pics of my cute '68 GMC!! :)
Tree - The small vs. big tailgate is the width of the indentation around the letters. Go to page 2 of the parts for sale and look at Joe's Junk takeoff gate. the indentation is the even with the handle indentation. Then look at yours. It is not nearly as wide as Joe's. Small letter are 67-68 only I believe. As with many things on the trucks they interchange but are not original correct.
By the way - good looking er, truck.
