Re: under bed battery relocation
I put two either side of my ram and used heavy welding lead wire up the frame to the starter. If yours doesnt tilt you could make a box to mount to the frame.

Re: under bed battery relocation
I was just curious, does this require alot of time getting access to the batteries? Seems like a great idea, if they were still easily accessible.

Re: under bed battery relocation
A little Google came up with this.Mounted to the frame would work.

Re: under bed battery relocation
i dont remember where it was.. maybe summitracing somewhere.. but i think theres a box that somehow flips down so you can get better access to it. that would probably be what i would go with.

Re: under bed battery relocation
Here is a picture of my battery under the bed.
Of course I can raise my bed. The PO removed the wood bed and put plywood covered with astro turf. I'll change it back to wood someday, but I'll have to redo the battery and fuel cell.

Re: under bed battery relocation
that CPP box looks pretty cool... do you think the hooks would come undone on a big bump and the box falls off the tracks tho?

It is a 16 gallon fuel cell. And yes it has a external fuel pump.

Re: under bed battery relocation
Sorry, thats the only pic I have. The backside looks just like the front side, except with some tabs on the side to bolt it to the frame. I just made it with some small angle iron, C-channel, and threaded rod.

Re: under bed battery relocation
Heres the one I built. The battery is mounted with 1/4" bolts through the plastic base of the battery in the flat spot between the cells. The battery is bolted in in this pic.
