Re: WTB valve covers

Have a pair of the closed system sbc valve covers with the script writing on them. Not NOS but in very nice shape, just needing a re-paint. $25 plus shipping. Here's a pic of them.

Re: WTB valve covers

Don't believe they were offered in the open style to include the "Chevrolet" script. By that time GM had switched to using decals or stickers with the cubic inch displacement stated on sticker. I think the only scripted valve covers you will find will be an aftermarket type such as M/T, Edelbrock, Holley, and such. Just my .02 cents worth.

Also as an after thought:
Original dual snorkel air breathers from GM I have seen at swap meets generally bring some "Big" bucks. Just last month at the Chickasha swap meet in Oklahoma I seen an original asking in the three digit range. Don't know if it sold or not. I think it was from a mid-60's Chevelle.

Also the old style Caddy "bat wing" air breather bring even higher $$$. They are very similar to the '57 Chevy style dual four barrell breathers and I know for a fact those are high $$$ ! I have a '57 Chevy 2 dr with a bored and cammed 283, original '57 aluminum intake and reproduction linkage with dual fours but no correct breather. Am using after market chrome 9" breathers on it as the original style breather can easily go for $1200 to $1400 if complete and in good shape.

You may get lucky finding what you are looking for but that makes for the thrill of the hunt.
