Horn help

We are changing the steering wheel & want to fix the horn(never has worked)
There is supposed to be a wire that connects to the horn button correct?
I cannot find a wire anywhere coming out of the column.

Re: Horn help

Just ran this gammit on my '71, It is the black wire in the harness for the turn signal switch which leaves there and goes to a relay at the inside of the fire wall

Re: Horn help

no there isn't a wire that is attached to the actual horn button theres an insert plunger type of thing that's under the horn button and pushing down on it grounds it to the column and make the horn work

I kinda thought that might be the case. I saw the plunger thingy, but then the wire terminals on the horn button & directions saying hook the horn wire here got me wondering. Thanks.
