truck/blazer thingy!
I was at the Godguys show today and came accross this build. I was very impressed with the overall design and finish. It started off as a long bed truck then they cut the cab in half and added 5.5" to the doors. Chopped it 2.5" but left teh rear window stock and now it lines up with the dor windows. Then they toook long bed sides and grafted them onto the cab like a blazer and when they shortened up the rear of the bed to blazer specs they tilted the rear forward 5*. He also sectioned the hood 2.5" as well but I think he should have stopped at about 1.5" for my likings. I know this is not a blazer or really even a truck but I posted it in this section because in about 2 months I will be starting on the body for "project Trazer" that I built the frame for earlier this year.

Re: truck/blazer thingy!
Nice work, wonder why they didn't go with a 67-68 front end to get that look

Re: truck/blazer thingy!
were about to try the cab stretch too, but more to the tune of 3-4 inches.. hopefully it will turn out half as nice. where would a guy get super long 'anti rattle kits' for the one peice windows? (after the stretch)thats about all we dont have figured out yet..

Re: truck/blazer thingy!
I would look at some older two door cars (50-60's) because they used to have longer front doors and you might find what you need. If not then just piece them together but do not line up the seams frm side to side.

Re: truck/blazer thingy!
yea the thought of getting some felts from a big two door car crossed my mind.. well pry go that way. as far as windows, i havent explored the thought of it ALOT- but- im thinking of fabbing in the whole inner door insert that bolts into 88-98 power window truck.. then youd already have new modern scissors and motors designed to lift a huge window. and maybe some more oportunity to get some door panels that are a little more 3-D! but the window track moves funny on the 88-98's and idk if that would work in an old chevy.. suggestions?

Re: truck/blazer thingy!
Is that truck from California? Or from up here in the Northwest? I seen it this summer at The end of the world Hot Rod Run in Long Beach/Ocean Park Washington. It is very cool, he was driving it all over dwontown Longbeach Wa.

Re: truck/blazer thingy!
It would have been less noticeable if they had left the doors alone and just stretched the cab. Overall, very nice Cameo!

Re: truck/blazer thingy!
That is a nice looking ride aslo. It apears to have about a 2" chop. The rear window is at the same level as teh door glass bottoms and stock is about 2" up.

Re: truck/blazer thingy!
It is a nice truck to to ask 35k I would want things a bit better. Don't get me wrong I know what goes into a build like this and 35k does not even cover the time involved. But th eroof is a bit wavy and the doors are cracking at the window lip were they sectioned them. Not a big deal not but once it gets more use I would hate to see what else pops up. That being said, park it in my drivway and I am sure I would have a great time with it
