Re: locking point in column??

I think mine might but it is only when I shift out of park. It is hard to tell because it is really subtle and the shifter is original.

Re: locking point in column??

Yes it does, It took awhile but mine is like new and it is hard to get used to after all the slop it had. Now PRNDL2L1 means something on the column.

Re: locking point in column??

it's doubtfull it's frozen as it's not a very complicated setup in a non tilt column.
you may just need to adjust the tention on it. at the the base of the column there are 3 1/2 bolts that hold what looks like a spring clamp on. loosen the 3 bolts but don't remove them. by turning the black spring clamp the 3 bolts go through you should beable to adjust the tention on the shifter. you may be able to do this by hand but more likely you'll need a pair of channel locks. retighten the 3 bolts.

Re: locking point in column??

I will look tomorrow to see what the previous post is saying about the 3 bolts, it may be easier than what I did or maybe simpler.
