I finally got my truck!
Hello, I'm a new member from North Carolina, and I finally got my truck. This is my grandfather's old farm truck from South Dakota. It went through another owner and now I have it. It runs (now) after a new rotor button and plugs. Needs a little TLC, but it's in good solid condition. 307, 4 speed, leaking oil and water. Can't wait for the hours of upcoming work. Thanks for all of the great advice and ideas I've already seen.

Re: I finally got my truck!
Darn nice "farm truck" GMCBubba! Your Grandfather took much better care of that truck than most farm trucks that old in SD! Looks like Clark County by the 18 on the plates. Great to see ol GMCs and good luck on your rebuild!

Re: I finally got my truck!
Thanks for all the welcomes.
70gmcjimmy: My grandfather DID take good care of this truck (like he did with everything), but it was definitely the work truck (in Clark county, indeed). We shot many gophers from that truck, too. He spent his "retirement" restoring Studebakers, and the car interest has rubbed off. Werewolf: I'll be sure to check out the points the next chance I get. Thanks |

Re: I finally got my truck!
Nice truck! Always good to see more 3/4 tons! That truck reminds me of my Grandpaw's old 1960 Chevy truck, it was painted the same color.
