Interior pic request

I scored a tilt column from Mikes71 tonight, (plus he took the wife and I out for dinner) and I would like to see pics of all blue interiors with a tilt column. I'm not sure if the black column will look out of place or not with the entire interior being blue. Thanks.

This is kind of on topic, and not.......My truck is yellow, with all yellow interior and yellow steering column. No tilt column though. Just to give you an idea(substitute yellow with blue), here's the best pic I could find. Hope it helps your decision.

Re: Interior pic request

It should not look too out of place because all tilts were originally black with black wheel also.

Re: Interior pic request

Here are a couple of my trucks with blue interior. I think if it is a blue painted cab it matches up ok . The silver painted cab maybe I should have repainted the column. I put a blue wheel on it and that helps hide the black column alittle

I'd say if the steering wheel is blue, blue column.

If the steering wheel is black, black column.

Re: Interior pic request

Just an FYI but it is my understanding that all tilt columns were black with black steering wheels.

Re: Interior pic request

I believe that is true, however, that doesn't mean another color wheel and paint couldn't be put on I'm thinking of painting mine blue with a grant steering wheel.

I agree with you and its yours so you can do what you want with it. I think that combo would look very nice.

Re: Interior pic request

My main thing was I wanted to keep the column the factory black and change my blue wheel out for a black one, and I was afraid the black column/wheel would stick out. After seeing the pics I think I'll be o.k. with it. I plan on dying or recovering my old wheel or getting a three spoke comfort grip Vette wheel.

Re: Interior pic request

I have a 71 with blue interior and I also just scored a tilt column and was wondering the same as you whether or not to paint the column blue. Now that I've seen some pics and also now knowing that it would have been black from the factory then I'm leaving mine black. Great post!!

Ah.......the olds starfire wheel. Make sure when you get the 3 spoke, you get the early 67 hub, it will fit much nicer than the 69-up. It will be flush with the column, unlike the later hubs

Two satisfied members in one thread, that's what we like to see.
