Unhappy Engine Swap Help!

Help....I have an original 6cyl/4speed '67 Shortbox. When I bought it it had a 350 / 350turbo. I found a donor '71 longbox with a donor 402 big block. I rebuilt the 402, mounted all the motor mounts, towers, power steering setup from the big block onto my '67. I had to trim the top frame rails to make the motor mount towers fit. I want to use the rebuilt 350 Turbo tranny that was in the truck (the '71 had a 400). I dropped it in this morning and the motor seams to be about 1 1/2" too far forward!!!! I took the tranny mount loose but it still won't go back far enough...The driveshaft is holding it!! I have the motor towers in the front holes? I'm going to look at the donor truck again but I thought maybe someone could help.

Looks like I'm going to have to shorten the driveshaft and drill new holes for the tranny mount??
