Seat opinions needed
OK, we took my sons seat to the upholstery guy today. It's gonna be black leather & blue suede. I attached a pic of the seat before to use as a guide.
It will be leather on the sides & front with a center strip up the middle(much like stock) Now the quandry, The upholster said to do the the whole top(minus center strip)in suede with pleats stiched in it.My son thinks possibly more along the lines of stock as in the pic. Where it is white in pic would be black leather & the hounds tooth or what ever it is would be blue suede. Anybody want to share thoughts? |

Re: Seat opinions needed
Isn't that the rare Highland option interior? You are going to replace that? Now...sorry you asked for an opinion...LOL!

Re: Seat opinions needed
I had done something similar in the past but with tan. looked good heres a pic of what I had done. I traded the truck to a fellow board member, I will be doing something similar to the factory buckets.

Re: Seat opinions needed
Go stock. That's a rare option and looks real nice.

Re: Seat opinions needed
Stock is not an option.I might piss some people off but I think it is butt ugly. But then again I asked & thanks for your thoughts.

Re: Seat opinions needed
First i would like to say it's a shame that beautiful seat is not being ressurected
Now that i have that out of my system Personally i would stick to the stock style, with suede inserts as your son is thinking, but i would pleat the suede inserts. think stock interior for a Mid 90s c/k

Re: Seat opinions needed
Although it's been done by several board members and others, the black & blue color combination are colors that don't really work well together usually. They don't contrast well against each other. A black and tan or a Blue and tan would work much better.
I'm with the others though, I say keep the highlander combo!
