This needs to be on the parts board, so that's where I'm moving it.

I had a totally rust free factory tub (only sides and floor) sold @ 3K until the buyer had family troubles and had to back out.

Re: value of nos blazer bed sides?
I have a rust free 4X4 and if I sold it $5k would be alot, but if the quarters are worth a $g a piece maybe I should ask for more!! All joking aside I know meathead is putting them on a nice 2wd, other than that, I'd just buy a rust free tub and go from there. There are a lot of Blazers out there, and then you could use the tub as needed. $2k if you have a rare enough Blazer to fix, otherwise buy a nicer truck/blazer to start with!!

Re: value of nos blazer bed sides?
Now I have a factory 2wd 70 Blazer that will be getting new side but I am goint to go the route of buying new SWB sides and cut the front at the B post. Once done you will not be able to tell and it will be brand new at alot less cost. The way that I look at it is I have installed anlot of NOS parts and very few of them did not need work just like the after market stuff. Heck I feel some of the NOS stuff was not used back then because of how bad it did fit. Just my thoughts.

Re: value of nos blazer bed sides?
Hi Todd, sorry I don't have any either, but I lost your #. Call me if you are still interested in the 4X4 parts truck.

Re: value of nos blazer bed sides?
NOS doesn't always mean perfect or excellent. The last Blazer I bought had a NOS pass bedside installed on it with both the B & C pillars installed crooked. This in turn allowed the inner quarter to be out of alignment with the outer. There must be like 150 spot welds holding these 4 pieces together. I gave up!
I saw those "NOS in the gm box" bedsides at Carlisle with an asking price of $600. each. They had enough surface rust on them to have eaten into the metal causing pits which were too deep to grind out. Still tempting. Probably harder to find a NOS or perfect floor!! |
