My original TH-350 seems to have some small leaks. It does shift great and everything though.
I bought some stuff to put into my transmission to stop the leaks that I plan on putting in once it got back from getting painted.
It is SNAP Automatic Transmission Sealer & Condtioner. Any experiences with this? Good? Bad? Put it in or not?

Well, remember the old saying " There is no such thing as a mechanic in a can"? Same holds true here.

If you have a transmission that the seals are starting to dry up or shrink (age), this type of additive may help temporarily but your first step should be finding out exactly what is leaking. If its a shift shaft or tailshaft seal... REPLACE THEM. If its a front pump/torque convertor seal you might try that stuff. I doubt its going to hurt anything. Other leak would be the pan gasket, obviously change the filter/gasket at that point.

Yeah. I just replaced the filter and gasket last summer. I think I may do it for a temporary fix and see if it works until I get around to it bein it probably can't hurt anything.

There are lots of little O-rings and seals that you can easily replace on transmissions and are easy to do. Most cost like .50 cents too!

I'd replace every one you can find and recheck for leaks again.

I don't think any sealer in a bottle will work.

Well I will see if I can see whats leaking when it gets back and see if I can fix it if its fairly easy.

I now drive Red '01 Ford Focus... better MPG!!!
