Oops! What did I mess up now?
I finally removed the bed & was cleaning up the frame & such with a wire wheel on a 4.5" grinder. When on the rear end I came across this.
There are apparently about 6 of these little spots that appear to be welded. Unfortunately, I found 2 of them after the wire wheel ate through them. What are they for? How should I close them up? Is it just to keep the elements out & I should use RTV? Or do I need to MIG them back shut? If MIG, do I need to drain the pumpkin first? Thanks, John O>.

Re: Oops! What did I mess up now?
i think they maybe rivet heads to keep the tubes in place during assembly// i'd take a piece of wire and see how far you can push it into the hole if it comes out wet ,it will leak if it doesnt go in far less than 1/4inch nothing to worry about

Re: Oops! What did I mess up now?
they're just gas pockets from when the tubes were welded in. i welded mine in with no issues but JBweld would work just as well.

Re: Oops! What did I mess up now?
its just welding slag or as said before a gas bubble when the tube was welded in, seeing as that the tube goes in about 2-3" past that with a +.005-.010" fit i woulndt sweat it leaking , that is unless you think you are bo duke and jump the local river once a day.
