My carrier bearing on the driveshaft is blownout and needs replacing.
Does the carrier bearing need to be pressed on or does it just slide into place.
Whats the process for removal. I tried to remove big bolt through center of driveshaft end but that baby ain't moving and I hate to break the bolt off in the driveshaft.
Am I better off to take it to a machine shop?
Any tips

If you have time, bring it up here. I'll fix it for ya, gratis. Not too bad a job after doing a few.
Disasemble the u-joint from the yoke with the bolt. Then you can get an impact wrench on the bolt. Use some penetrating oil and the yolk should tap off of the shaft. Then remove the bearing, it is a light press fit on the shaft. Serous, bring it up I will do that for ya. ps did you get my pm about the cab & clip ?

good luck with the replacement i been though 3 in the last year since i replaced the orginal one make sure you get a good bearing
