Couple cruising shots!

We took off through the mountains to Helen GA yesterday. I was driving and we were with a group so I only made a couple shots. I didn't drive either of my trucks but there were three other chevy trucks there, one of which is a 67, so I thought it would be OK to post em up here. If any mods feel like this should be moved to the general discussion or wherever, feel free to do so. Needless to say this little group drew some attention everywhere we went.

We stopped to wait on my bud and his 67.

Some were considerably more thirsty than others!

Hey see Ten.. I saw you guys coming down 53 yesterday from Dahlonega.. I was thinking.. "Wonder if that guy is on 67-72???".. I was on my blue Honda Superhawk. Probably so many bikes you wouldn't have notcied though

Cool rides

Nice cars but.......a little too new for me. I guess I like hotrods and classics. Some will tell you the SSR's and things like PT Crusiers are hotrods but I think not! But still, they would of definately caught my eye going down the highway. Very nice picture quality with some killer scenery also.

Re: Couple cruising shots!

It looks like Baxley is way down in the SE corner of the state and I am in the NE corner of the state. I think the shot of the guys at the gas pumps was the only one I was really happy with. I want to say the yellow truck is a 66. I don't really have an opinion on that cowl hood one way or the other but overall it is quite the nice truck. That guy runs a 3.73 gear and I think a turbo 350 trans. The truck has quite a bit of motor in it as well and this trip was the furthest he has ever driven it. I have to agree on the PT cruiser thing but the SSR has some really good qualities. Now I realize it's a new vehicle, and you rarely see anyone under 50 behind the wheel of one but the owner of this one has handed me the keys before so I can attest to its abilities! That little truck has an all aluminum 6.0 390hp V8 with 405 ft lbs of tq. When you mat out the skinny pedal you will know it. I can also understand prefering the older rides but I have five vehicles in the yard and it was the little Z's turn to get out and stretch it's legs. The Nissan pulls 300hp out of a V6 so needless to say it is also quite the monster. I'll be sure to place another post when we plan our next trip. Bring out that old iron and I will be more than happy to take some shots of em! Thanks guys!

Re: Couple cruising shots!

Ken that was Mike popping the hatch to get his coat out. It was really cold out yesterday. I have a friend that was going to drive his 4 sp 2nd gen Z28 but I think a lack of heat kept him at home.
