I'm thinking of hauling my truck to tennesse for grand fall rod runs in sept. I'm having no luck trying to sell it here so I figure I'll try my luck in TN. It's not done but it's drivable so it just might be there. I'm hauling from Ks so its quit the drive. Anybody going sept. 08-12 I just might be ROLLIN the old truck, or parking it with a for sale sign!

We went last year. No truck so we sat at stoplight 6 and watched. My shortbed is in sealer now and will probably be there also. I might not even be able to get my new windshield in so it'll probably be cracked but o well. I liked the vendor tents most of all because things are much cheaper there than in Kansas. When I find out what hotel were in I'll post. Maybee see ya there.

Hey you guys are hitting close to home talking about the "hill". I live about 60 miles west of Nashville. Go to the hill sometimes.

I'm looking for a 67-72 shortbed. I'm wanting to stay in the $2,000-$2,500 range. How much are you asking for yours? I'm planning to be ar the Rod Run in Pigeon Forge. I just live 30 minutes from there.

I might be able to get some pics on here but figuring up miles and I'm not sure if I could get the truck down but if you are interested I could probably make the exception. I'm asking 2800 but I might go for 2500 the first three nights we are there we are staying at light 2 then moving to light 6. Booked are rooms late. Let me see if I can borrow a dig. camera and get some pics on here.

Don't go to a lot of trouble. If you can take some pictures, I would like to look at them. What model did you say the truck is? Also, I think the Grand Run dates are September 13-15. I'll double check and let you know.
Thanks. |

I'll be there! It's an 11 hour drive for me, but I'm sure it will be worth it!

Have you been advertising outside of the little apple? Two weeks ago I went to western Oklahoma to buy my 69. Couldn't find much of anything here in Kansas unless I wanted to buy painted rust. There is a big demand for the 69-72 trucks in Wichita, but few for sell.

I've had sevral people from wichita call but noone has showed up. I've had lick 40 + calls and several lookers but everyone wants to nit pic thing. The truck is not perfect like some on the board but it is 75% rust free. The rust is in reparable spots and nothing expensive. Its like these people want a perfictly straight rust free truck with int that all they have to do is paint it. This truck runs and drives excellent but I cant afford to have it sit. In my personal opinion I dont think $2800 is a bad price for a running truck that needs little work to be done. I'll try to take pics tonight and get them on here so bare with me.

No hurry. I'm going to look at a 70 this weekend. It's near Nashville. Don't go to a lot of trouble on the pictures. I'll let you know something about the Nashville truck this weekend.
I appreciate it.: |

No problem. I was told about the truck yesterday. I called the guy and he said he didn't have time for it anymore. He said it is a 70 C-10, red shortbed. He said it has a 350-350 turbo with new tires & exhaust. Clear coat is peeling on top of cab. I'll let you know something though.

Meathead95, I'm not going to be able to go look at that 70 C-10 this weekend. The truck is at Haddon Motors (actually in Manchester). He is asking $5,500 but said he'd like to sell it. Their number is 931-728-0062. Take I-24 then exit 114. They are open till 4 o'clock on Saturday. Let me know what you think.

I bought a 71 Camaro today to take to the Rod Run and sell. A friend of mine is coming to look at it tommorrow. If he buys it, I'd like to come look at it.
Thanks |
