Help please!! looking for fuel lines for 89' Silverado w/350

Looking to buy fuel lines for my 1989 Chevy 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive short bed pickup with a 350 V-8. The two lines I need are the one that goes from the fuel pump to the fuel filter & the return line from the engine to the fuel tank. Both of these lines have fittings on both ends. I called my local Chevy dealer today and they said these lines are discontinued. I find it hard to believe. Hopefully someone can help me because my lines were so rusty that they both sprung leaks. If there are truly discontinued please someone give me some suggestions on what to do. Thanks 67BABYBLUE

Actually I ran into this a while back on my 92. The dealer in town had one & said I was lucky for that very reason - discontinued. Start hunting around salvage yards or find someone parting a truck out. Board members here have been known to do that from time to time. Check the board classifides. Sorry to hear abount your bad luck, hope it goes to good soon!

I'm gonna move this to the parts board for you. I may have what you need, but I don't have a clue how to ship without them getting afu'd. I have a frame from a truck in that yr range (late 80's early 90's) that the lines are still on. I don't know if they are the same or how to tell what yr the frame I have is (it was given to me).

Here is a suggestion if you cant find rplacements. Are yours still all there? If so take them to a shop that does metal lines and they should be able to bend you some new ones. Plus you could get stainless steel ones made and not have to worry about rust. Just a thought.

Re: Help please!! looking for fuel lines for 89' Silverado w/350

I recently replaced all of my fuel lines while I had the box off of the truck to replace the tank and I went with rubber lines with fittings on the ends where they attach to the TBI, fuel filter and tank. So far so good, and best of all, no bending!

Are the ones you need the steel hard line type or the braided stainless flexible ones? I might have a set laying around from one of my projects...

If it's fuel injected it does carry more pressure than the standard fuel pump on the earlier rides. And an '89 is FI.
