After Thanksgiving day shopping!

Well I hit my local Pick-N-Pull today and scored! I found a solid hood for a 68 with no rust or dents at all. I also snagged the front fenders off the same truck and they are in good shape but the pass side does need the lower front replaced($40). I removed the factory A/C dash as well since both my truck and 2wd blazer have been hacked for radio installs. I found a fairly good set of seats for my 71 chevy and two complete sets of hood and latches for tilt front hoods that I will modify for my truck since my stock hinges have to go for tire room. Not to bad for two hours work! This weekend at pick-n-pull it is half price days so it all cost me under $150 for everything

Then when I got home I had a package from the truck shop with my rockers, cab corners, 1 front lower fender patch, hood brace rubbers, a complete body mount kit with all hardware and more misc. parts.

Now once I get some free time I might make progress on my "Project Slow Build"!

It's actually fun pulling parts when you know it won't cost you an arm and leg. Our local yard don't even let you in anymore, insurance reasons they say!

Cool grab! Will a 67-68 front grille work on a 67-68 GMC front clip?

Re: After Thanksgiving day shopping!

Dang, buff the hood and paint your next project yellow to match. Never seen an original hood that nice before.
