I took some pics of my twins (fraternal, not identical

). They are both 64's. The 4x4 is the one I got this spring, had pics of that one on here earlier. The "new" 64 I bought about a month ago. It has a 350 and a 700R4 in it. I only paid 250 bucks for it and drove it 120 miles home. Every light works as does the radio, heater, and gauges. I figure it was a pretty good deal. The unusual part of it was the rear springs. The P.O. had put a second set of hd coil springs inside the original hd springs

. I now know that I have a good dentist, because all my fillings stayed in during the drive home

. I have since replaced the rearend in it with another one I had laying around because the original one had a whine in it and a bit of a clunk. I also changed the springs over to half ton springs.

The more I see those models the more I like em...both of em look pretty decent

What a bargin! I used to tell my uncle how lucky he was because he was allways getting great deals, and he replied, those deals are out there every day, the trick is to have the money when they cross your path!

Very nice.....I thought I had found a great deal on my 66 whem I bought it - and I had to tow mine home! I noticed your steering column in your interior pic - it looks to have P R N D 2 L on it. Any idea as to what year/model vehicle it came out of? Again - very nice!

I'm not sure about the column, but I think its out of a 69-72. It works great, but of course I can't get to first with it being a four speed. I read somewhere how to modify the column to work, but for me its not worth the hassle. Also, I would recommend those of you who have a 3/4 ton and aren't going to haul huge loads with it to convert to half ton springs. It rides like a caddy now.

Just to clarify, I think the column is out of a 69-72 chev/gmc. It had a gmc wheel on it when I got it, but my chev wheel was better so I changed it over.
