ebay question for sellers

When you set up an ebay auction for parts off one of our style trucks, whats the best way to get in all the years 67-72 to get the most views but not use up all your characters? putting in 1967 1968 1969...etc etc chevrolet and gmc truck, takes up almost all the alotment so there is no way to list exactly what you are trying to sell. Thanks for any help.

Mark

Re: ebay question for sellers

Use shorts....Chevy...67-72 works because most people will search that way versus the specific year for parts that are interchangeable. In the body of the auction you can list all the years individually, the individual year search will pick that up as well.

Re: ebay question for sellers

Include your keywords for searching at the bottom of your add IE
Chevy Chevrolet Truck Pick up pickup C-10 C1500 1500 big block small block SWB short wheel base etc etc. Anyone that searchs and checks the search body and title will pickup your auction

Re: ebay question for sellers

this is what I use, 67 68 69 70 71 72 Chevy truck, and then what ever part it is. This way you get all the years.

Re: ebay question for sellers

Ok, thanks guys. I hope this one works out better than the last ebay auction I had. It was that People magazine that had the Bill Gates address label. I had that contest here to guess how much it would sell for. The winner got a magazine subscription to Classic Trucks (or something like that). Well the winner was Canadian and the subscription cost quite a bit more than I was thinking it would, lol. I came out a bit behind in that auction.

Re: ebay question for sellers

the best is 67-72, you'll have to weed through things like chevelles and camaros but its the only way you can insure you dont miss a part that works for your truck but doesnt have the word "truck" in the description. I've tried all ways and this is the best.

Re: ebay question for sellers

Boise I have to disagree with you as the 67-72 narrows your seach and will miss a lot of looks because of that. With the 67-72 search I only pull about 8-10 pages, with the one I use I pull 18-21 pages, a whole lot you don't get to see if you are so narrow with your search. Here is what I use to search ebay with and I got it here from another member a while back, put this into your search windowon ebay and se how much comes up.(67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972) (truck, blazer, pickup, p/u) (chevy, gm

Here is a link to that search: http://motors.search.ebay.com/67-68-...MEFSRCHQ3aSRCH

Re: ebay question for sellers

wow that certainly does give me more to see but that a lot to have to type. but i'll save, copy and paste each time i guess. I search ebay a lot and using your method i did get to see some things i've never seen before... such as those HID diamond cut headlights, i wonder if those work well and they would look good near my blue bow tie too.

Byrd, thanks for this, my wife wont like it but this makes my searches that more interesting and longer

Re: ebay question for sellers

Boise, just save it to your favorite searches on ebay and then all you have to do is click on it and your there.
You are very welcome, I got the info here and I'm glad to pass it on. I have seen the headlights and will look further into them when that times comes in my project, but I think they would look good beside that blue bowtie.
