or would it just be easier/cheaper to have someone setup the posi in my rear ? thanks lance |

I assume you are talking about the one on Craig's List in Phoenix, right?? Let me know if you get it. He said he had a couple of quick offers for it. I wanted to trade some parts for it.

Re: replace leaf spring mounts........
ya thats it but if i keep messing around ill miss it. but in all reality looks like it would be about the same price by the time im done to just get a posi unit w/ gears and have someone install it in the rear already in the truck.

Re: replace leaf spring mounts........
i personally wouldnt mess with a used rear with an unknown origin. you dont know if the posi is already worn out or if its been abused. i would get the current rear in the truck setup with posi and gear ratio you want.an eaton unit will be stronger than the stock unit anyhow depending which unit is in the rear. the 73-up rears are also a different width if im not mistaken which would possible force a wheel change for a different backspacing.

Re: replace leaf spring mounts........
I got this rear. I traded some parts I wasn't going to use anyways & he delivered it to me. He seemed like a "standup" kinda guy. He said it was used in the last 6 months. We'll see....
