Re: Al's 72 blazer progress update

Engine area and transmission!!! I want to clean up the engine area a bit and have the AC put back in. The guy that's working on it is going to take the engine out and since it was out...he was going to see if the transmission needed anything. How's your blazer coming along??? Post some pictures!!!

Re: Al's 72 blazer progress update

I for one would like to see about 1 MILLION more pics!!!

Specifically, I'd love to hear more about those front seats (what are they?) and I wouldn't mind details on the hidden fuel filler door, and the center console which also looks to be a "one-off" detail too.

Wheel diameters (F/R)? Tire sizes?

Looks great!

Re: Al's 72 blazer progress update

Thanks all!!! Moreso...thanks for all the information that you folks helped me with to get my blazer going!!! Man...without this website...I'd be fricken lost!!! Anyway...regarding the seats. The front, back and console are from a 98 suburban. My interior guy took off the head rests and laid leather on the outer portion of the seats and suede in the actual sitting area. It can get fairly hot here in Antioch and I didn't want to get burned when I wear shorts and driving with the top off. Moreso...my kids. Speaking of which...the car seat was also covered with the same material. It's my boys "throne" as my wife and I call it.

The wheels are 20X10 Torque Thrust II rims with 4" backspacing. I asked the guy for the deepest set that I can put on there and that was as far as I was able to go.

67-72 Calendar??? Thank you for the consideration, but there are WAY more nicer blazers that I've seen in the forum that should be on the calendar.

I'll post the single pictures later today. My wife laid all the pictures on one page so I thought it would be easier to post.

Thanks again everyone!!!

Thanks for the larger pics. I must say, that has got to be one of the best looking 2wd K5's I've ever seen. What a blast that must be to own.

Re: Al's 72 blazer progress update

Beautiful Blazer, one of the nicest I've ever seen.
Very clean and tastefully done.

If I was fortunate enough to own one that was as nice, I'd submit photos for the calender; I believe it would have a good chance to get in.
Even if it doesn't, you've got nothing to lose.

Re: Al's 72 blazer progress update

Alnshan,

What size are your tires?

They look tall enough to give a decent ride but low enough not to have any clearance problems. Exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm thinking of going with 275/45x20's - about 29.5" overall height.

Re: Al's 72 blazer progress update

Sorry folks...been away for the holidays and just got back.

Yes...they're 20X10 with 4" backspacing and yes...the tires are 275/40/20.

The front is lowered with drop spindles and 2" lowered springs. The rear was lowered 4" as well, but I had someone install air lift bags back there to relieve the "bounce".

Let me know what pictures of the interior you want me to take.

Thanks all!!!

Al

The ones that you have up top are fine, I just wanted to know if you had them a little bigger. The wife and I love your interior, and hopefully mine will look that good someday.
