Front end noise

When I go around a left curve there is a clunking noise in my 81'. It is coming from the left side. It has new lockouts and new wheel bearings, could it be a u-joint?

Are the hubs locked it? Tcase in 4wd or 2wd? If you are just driving on the street in 2wd and the hubs unlocked the front axle shafts shouldn't be turning at all.

What you might be hearing is from the springs or swaybar with rotton bushings.

Lube (WD40) the rubber bushings on the springs and swaybar and see if it goes away. They will make a lot of noise sometimes like Zoomad said.

its more than a single clunk, its a rapid clunk, clunk, clunk. it doesn't stop until i go straight.

See if there are any marks on the inside of your tire like maybe where its hitting something,

Since it's in 2 wheel drive it can't be a u joint. My 70 had a clunking going around a left hand corner only in 2 wheel drive. If the hubs were locked in and the transfer case in 2 wheel drive, there was no noise. My problem was the left locking hub that was worn. I know you have new hubs but it just might be a bad hub or possibly a wheel bearing that's adjusted too loose.

Check your ball joints. My 86 did that and I had to replace all 4 joints...

Just because they are not "supposed" to turn doesn't really mean that they don't.........It is not under power but I have seen many trucks with the driveline revolving because the gear lube drag makes things stick.
I would look at the axle shaft's u-joints. They are generally not grease-able, so they eventually sieze up. This can lead to wierd noises, clunks, and in severe cases the steering wheel can snap back straight.
