cab support available?

I have an 87 V20, and part of the floor was rotted under the long angled brace that supports the cab off the frame (not the cab mount). It goes from front to back of the cab (most of the way) up the angled part in the front, and straight back. This is where the body mount goes in the front (near the bend for the angled part of the floor). Does anybody know where I can get a new one? I just ordered a new floor piece from Goodmark, and hope I don't have to fabricate something. I cut a good amount of the old one out. I suppose if I had to, I could cut one off another truck and splice it in? Thanks very much for any help you guys can provide. I am hoping to get this truck back together before it snows, and harass my neighbors with it...

Re: cab support available?

If you are talking about cab support channel (the piece that is angled and runs from front at the firewall to the back under the cab )there isn't a repop piece for that. You need to find a piece of channel steel about 1/8" x 2" x 3/4" and hammer it into that channel (or what is left of it) and weld it in.

Re: cab support available?

No problem, and good luck! Shouldn't be "that" bad though.
