Aftermarket heater/AC options

With my cab finally ready for its first layer of paint I have decided that I must shave the old heater unit off for good. I don't want to spring for the whole unit right now, I just want to weld in the heater block off plate, clean up the welds and move forward with painting. So one popular choice is obviously the Vintage Air "sure-fit" unit, but aren't there some other companies to choose from? I am actually considering just a heater and no AC, because I don't really have much need for AC up here in NW Montana. Its high 90s about one week in August but that is it. So does any company make just a heater that is new tech and small?

The cab as of last week...

Re: Aftermarket heater/AC options

My truck came with this HUGE under dash unit. It took forever to get rid of and when I got it all out, there was a JC Penny sticker on top. Sure enough, I discovered through research that back in the day you could get an AC unit for 67-72 trucks from JC Penny.
