New Project!!!

I picked my next project up on Sunday in Bismarck, ND. It's a 71 GMC Shortbox Fleetside with COILS!!! Right now, it has a 4.10 posi out back. It is originally a 307 Powerglide truck, too. This is my first shortbox fleetside, which I am gonna enjoy redoing, because I really like the look of the short fleets. I bought the pickup, 1972 4 bolt main 350, TH400, and a set of sandblasted and painted 15x8 Rally Wheels with caps and rings, for $775. Enjoy the pictures and I love feedback

Re: New Project!!!

You found a swb that far north in that good of shape for $775? That's a serious score.

Re: New Project!!!

Well, actually the pickups I've bought in ND have all been really nice shape with the exception of 1. The one I bought in MT was very nice, too. Without the use of salt, we do fairly good. I paid 400 for the truck, 100 for the tranny, 200 for the motor, and 75 for the rallys.

Re: New Project!!!

Oh, I forgot to say the box is worse in life than the pictures show, however, I'm gonna try to save the entire thing. The bed will need a few patches, but that shouldn't be too bad. I'm using a different cab and front end, too.
