Well I may have been a little to tough on my ride. I either broke a piston or a connecting rod, not sure which as I am in the midst of tearing it town. A big bang that left a big hole in my oilpan has left me stranded. I am running a 383 stroker and it had less than 3000 miles on it. Just had to vent, and appease the chevy gods.

Dude i am very sorry for your loss,if theres a hole in the pan,then it isnt a good situtation.I suggest drinking heavily until you forget about it.Give it some time.Id take a break from her for a day.

Thats a pisser, I broke a rod and ground down my cam when my motor only had 5k on it.
In support I will follow Desert Rats' advice and drink heavily as well.

i know how you feel the first one i put in mine was a 350 built for late model stock.900 miles and boom dropped 3 pistons thru block bunch of pieces thru oil pan broke cam and crank.wife was real upset but i laughed it off i was only turnin around 7200 when rodbolt broke.i'm bad on motors

Hey why mess with the light stuff. go buy some Everclear, few shots and you'll be right as rain and probly not worry about driving cuz yull be able to fly...

bought a 1970 buick GS350 when i was 16. shot a rod throught the block.

good news was i got to put a 455 in it.

bad news i blew the remaining 2k i had in my bank account and had to borrow money from dad.

even worse news, the guy who installed the engine and the company that rebuilt the 455 for me decided it would be cool to screw a 16 year old.

As a side note on the everclear......i wouldnt reccomend trying to fly off an really tall buildings.......69
