What's it worth?

Trying to buy a suburban. It's a 71 4x4 with barn doors, 1/2 ton. No working heat or AC but it has them, TH350 auto, NP205, rusted rockers, rusted on the lower rear wheel wells, 4" lift, 33's, decent 350 motor, with a decent interior that isn't destroyed. Rattle can primer on the outside. All the weatherstripping it pretty much shot, body is ok, only a few dings. I'm thinking $3000, am I close?

Re: What's it worth?

seems to me that in arizona you should be able to find one rust free, but other than that $3000 sounds right. but I haven't paid to much attention to burbs.

Re: What's it worth?

$2500 or move on, rust free is tough to find, but rust in the rear wheel wells is a lot for AZ. I know where a nice rust free one is for $4500.

Re: What's it worth?

Ah, the never ending myth that all AZ trucks are rust free. The rear wheel well rust is only on the front and back extremely lower fender tips where the "pockets" are in the body. It's not rusted out, just starting to bubble out. Either way, I thought I was in the right park, haven't been in the market for one in years. Thanks for the input.
