On this day...
December 7th has significance to most Americans. On this day, 65 years ago, the Japanese Imperial Navy launched the most massive, surprise attack ever on United State Navy assets at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. No American fails to comprehend the importance of this day on the history of the world.
But this is a truck message board, so while not wishing to make light of events on this day in 1941 (which directly shapes modern life), this day has another significance to me personally. You see, on the 25th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, a little Baby Blue and White 1967 Chevrolet C-10 Shortbed, Big Window, 283 cid Small Block V-8 powered truck rolled off the line at the General Motors plant in Fremont, California. This truck, the 122,485th 1967 (found its way into my family a short seven years later), was born on December 7, 1966! Today, my truck is 40 years old!!
