Christmas presents for your truck?
What are you buying for your truck or someone elses this Christmas?
I'm planning on getting sound deadner, carpet and dash pad for mine. I've ordered, a lock set, armrests, kick panel carpets, headliner and trim, cargo light, sunvisors for my son's. Along with the tilt column I already have, it will finish off his interior. My wish list is way longer than the real one, but both trucks will see some much needed improvements!

Re: Christmas presents for your truck?
The only thing in my trucks future is the pakage that will be here on Friday from Autobodydepot.net and the Blasting media in the back of my truck that is going on the doors this afternoon. Oh there is one more thing lots of time since that is what I have the most of right now. So only about 150 bucks on the truck this month but next month I get a raise and who knows what will happen. A/C system? Air managment System? only time will tell.

Re: Christmas presents for your truck?
I'm having the rear end rebuilt and am going to install some rear disk brakes and a new dual 9" booster, master cylinder, and prop valve I got at ABS Powerbrake. Should be fun!

Re: Christmas presents for your truck?
just installed a complete new JVC HD radio CD head unit, all new speakers and 4 channel amp. started buying upgrades in sept at the autofair in Charlotte. Complete 4 wheel disc brakes and all the patch panels to repair the cab rust. also all the parts to do headlight wiring upgrade and alternator upgrade wiring, many other repairs and upgrades to get my baby up to snuff.
finally found an old beater (85 ford f150) that will allow me to do these updates and also have transportation to work and for parts runs. as you can tell I am not married and can spend all my christmas money on my baby.

Brushed aluminum dash applique from the former Chevy Duty. And, maybe some new shoes for the 73 Blazer.

Re: Christmas presents for your truck?
At the moment i'm making my truck audio system wish list. I have 6 family members receiving this list so i have to make it good. I just wish i could figure out what sub i need, what speakers i need and what amp to buy. I'm leaning towards Polk 10" subs, infinity amp, and Polk mono 6.75 speakers. I only want two kick panel speakers / tweeters but they got to be strong.
Any audio expert advise would be greatly appreciated. I can expect 1k spent on me Merry Christmas to all of you!!

Re: Christmas presents for your truck?
After my wife's TOTAL inability to take any hints for my birthday and complaining "you gave me no hints" (an LMC catalog left on the bathroom sink with dog ears, and highlights of the parts I wanted was not hint enough) this christmas I left no doubt, I sent her this email:
Quote:
The fuel tank kit is #1 on my list as it's the next thing I need to "do" to the truck before anything else gets done. |
