how does head light knob come off?????

once again, flumoxed by something simple. trying to replace my dash bezzle but cannot get the headlight knob off...anyone know how to get it off

There is a little push in button on the unit it self. You push it in and pull the knob out at the same time.

is that the little springloaded button? thought it might have something to do with it but still cannot get it out..

I think you have to pull the knob out to the headlight on position before you push the button, then pull. (unhook your battery first)

well...got that part then realized the entire thing has to come out to get the bezel off...could not get the ring that holds headlight switch off, pulled form bottom and the whole thing fell apart in my hand...just had to order a new switch which means no headlights for the weekend...stoll cannot figure out how to get that piece l;oose...absolutely nothing is simple with these things is it...

I've done the same thing before. Mine took a bit of work and wiggling to get it to pop out even with the button pressed, and I also broke one as well trying to get it apart and couldn't figure out how on earth it went back together. Its still sittin in a baggy in the garage waitin for me to get bored and try and figure it out, doubt it'll ever happen, new switch works perfect
