Do We Need This?

There Is An Air Or Water Duct Around The Inside Of The Blower Motor Hole That Goes Up To The Cowl. I Guess This Is To Keep The Water Off The Blower Motor? I Took This Piece Out Since I Am Shaving The Firewall, I Am Not Putting The Blower Motor Back In That Spot. That Piece Isn't Gonna Hurt Is It? It Was All Just Rusted. Someone Said Something About Putting Herculiner Or Something Inside Since Water Will Still Drain There. Has Anyone Done This?

Re: Do We Need This?

It sounds like the piece you removed is the diverter that directs the water from the cowl out past the blower motor. I'm not sure if it will hurt to not be there if the blower is not there.
