dash restorer guys...
Im looking for a restored dash for my 69 panel. I dont want a tach or vac gauge, but I wouldnt mind a clock in the spot where you guys put vac gauges. Im putting a column mounted tach in, so I have no need for the tach option (in case you were wondering). Let me know if any of you guys could hook me up with one. With price of course...you can pm me or post it here.
Thanks. Last edited by CG; 12-12-2006 at 01:34 AM. |

Something to consider... most column mounted tachs put a NASTY glare on the windshield at night, right in the center of your view.
Just a thought. |

Re: dash restorer guys...
Someone on here had figured out a later model Chev truck electronic clock that was about the right size. You must have the electronic to avoid all of the troubles with the older electric winders.
I have installed a mid 70s Camaro. It looks great, but is electric and the cost to get it converted to electronic gets to be close to $100! Come get your wheels... |

Member 70c10 can restore the dash and install the clock. I have seen his work in person and it is top notch.

Going for a 60's styled ride...When I was a kid I loved those tachs strapped to the column...Im probably going to regret it but at least Im going to have that look

no worries on this, its a slight annoyance at best. Like anything else you get used to it.
