Re: S10 door weather striping
They work great and can be had at most junkyards dirt cheap if you are on a tight budget!. Look for Blazers in the late 80's to early 90's.

Hey 70C10, are these the snap on fit or do they have to be glued?

Re: S10 door weather striping
They are push on. I bought a brand new set and my doors WOULD NOT close. The new seals are too stiff. I still want to use them, but I'll be hitting junkyards soon for a "soft" set of used ones. My truck doors have already been aligned, but if they hadn't I would have loosened up the door hinges so the doors would close until the seals softened.

Re: S10 door weather striping
are the door openings the same size? I would have thought the s10 doors were smaller, thus leaving a portion of the 67-72 opening with out a seal. or is there a small patch portion?

Re: S10 door weather striping
I have got the drivers side on and I had to adjust the door out a little. But it made a huge difference.

Re: S10 door weather striping
Well, I picked up a really decent set of use seals & installed them in my chop top 69.....had to cut about 4" out @ the bottom center as they were a tad too long! The doors did shut VERY stiff, but I think they will settle in over the winters rest(hopefully). If not, the doors may need to be readjusted. The best part was the seals look almost new, & were only 5 clams for the pair

Re: S10 door weather striping
This was not my idea.....but it worked out very slick! The s 10 seals that I put on made my doors very tight (slam to shut). In one of the earlier threads on s 10 seals, one of the other guys suggested tapping in the pinchweld on the cab for clearance.....my doors now shut firmly, but not bad at all. I figure that the winters rest will seat them in the rest of the way. The seals I got were boneyard pcs, but they look new, so I beleive they were replaced at one time. They will come up a tad short for the used pcs in a stock height truck, but they worked out great for my chop top truck....& no more seals slidin off !
