235 ignition help please asap
I have a 58 chevy with a 235/3 speed. I am having problems getting a good spark from the coil. All I can seem to get is an orange spark which is causing it not to fire. I have already replaced the coil 3 times, thinking that I was getting "bad coils", and also replaced points, condenser, rotor, cap, wires, plugs.
ANY HELP PLEASE RESPOND ASAP!! |

Re: 235 ignition help please asap
Do you have spark at the spark plug? Assuming that you do and it is also weak you might want to double check your gap at the points. And also believe it or not in my experience I have seen new condensers go bad and new condensers bad out of the box causing the same type of problem. Might also check to make sure you are getting the correct voltage to the coil.
Hope this helps... |
