Re: can someone help with VIN decode

KM10D-PB41630

K = 4x4
M = V6 engine
1 = 1/2 ton
0D = Fleetside box
P = Pontiac assembly plant
B = 1968
41630 is vin sequence number

the dash in case your wondering was a State code identifier typically for truck destined for Pennsylvania

Easy, but not so many know how to decode these older GMC vins. The vin decoders would typically just get you the wrong info.

Re: can someone help with VIN decode

thanks rod, are these old v6's worth having around, or are they hard to find motor parts for?

Re: can someone help with VIN decode

Well, I dont see many motors for parts..they are harder to find parts for.. a few board members have them and like the old V6...supposed to be quite the pulling torque engine.
