Hello from Idaho
Just found the site. Picked up a 1977 GMC Sierra Grande 2x4 AT shortbox w/ 95000 miles on it today. Very minimal rust and runs like a champ. Look forward to soaking in the information from the site and help those that I can with my limited knowledge.

Re: Hello from Idaho
I'm on the SE side about 90 miles from Yellowstone NP. View of the Tetons out my kitchen window...... aka God's Country!
I haven't really decided what direction to go with it yet. I'd prefer to leave it stock as much as possible. I have some reading to do on this truck. Need to figure out which tranny it has and what size tires it's suppose to have. The speedo is off a bit (it's says 70 and I'm really only doing about 62). It's got 235/75/15's on it now but time for some new shoes. It has a rust spot on the rear just behind the rear tires but I'll sand it down and primer it. Other than that, it's clean inside and out. Got it home and waxed it up and WD40 the locks and doors. It's getting oil, filter, plugs and wires today. |
