powerglide- same splines and length as any other auto tranny ?

anyone know id powerglide have same spline and overall length as any other tranny ??
that about the only RWD tranny i have hardly any experience with, i assume would be closest to length of a th350 with 6" tail, but maybe not.,,. neighbor guy is pulling(*at least he claims he is going to) his out of his 66 beater chevelle in favor of a 4 speed is why i ask,.

same as the short tail th350 in length and spline count

...as far as the ouput shaft and length it is same as short tail 350 as noted above. Powerglide has a different input shaft however, and must use a Powerglide converter.
