SWB 4x4 Conversion
Hey Guys, Has anyone ever taken the body of a 67-72 swb and put it on an
80's swb 4x4 chassis? Was wondering what the major problems in doing this yould be. Will the body bolt right up or do you need to change the body mounts and stuff? Thanks |

Re: SWB 4x4 Conversion
Is there a thread that covers this? I smoked the 350 in my 79 short box 4x4. I bought a 77 GMC shortbox with a bit more rust for cheap, with an awesome running 400. The 77 works so good I just dont have the heart to part it out, I will just rivit capcorners/rockers on it, it has a newer box. I would like to do something neat with this 79 chevy frame, 72 or earlier body, panel truck or something? The 79 has all new leafsprings, shocks, and a nice np205/350 trans combo, so I cant just give it away dirt cheap.
