Don't know what other years - but those are identical (except for bowtie) to the originals on my 72 gmc. Are the center caps metal or plastic? - originals were metal - reproductions are plastic.

They are metal originals. I got them with another set of hubcaps I really wanted. So, if anyone needs these, they are for sale. I have all 4.

You could get those on any regular 67-68 1/2 ton truck Suburban or van. I now have two complete sets for my truck. I wish I could figure out how to keep the flat black paint on.

I thought the gray ones were the standard ones and the black ones were for the 50th? At least every C-10 50th Pickup that I have seen has the black ones.

As long as we're posting pict's. Here's a vintage pict showing a dealers lot with some 67 pickups. Note the wheel covers on the first one.
I've never heard of a difference between the 50th and regular 67-68 wheel covers. Stranger things have happened though. I've heard some folks claim that they could also be done up in body color instead of flat black. I've never seen this myself.

I never understood the design of those, don't get me wrong, I think they are cool and everything I would put them on a truck I owned but whats up with the 5 fake lug nuts spread out like that, are they trying to make these trucks look like semis or sprint cars????

Ok here is the deal on the 69-72 hubcaps. 3 of the 4 are in almost perfect condtion. There is no Pitting or dents on them. The only thing that I noticed is some VERY MINOR black paint missing from the centers. You have to look very close to notice. The last hubcap is in the same shape as the other 3 except it has one minor curb rash that is about an inch. Not major at all. I would much rather trade them to someone who could really use them, but if I was going to put a price on them I would say $80 for the set plus shipping. Does this sound fair?

They must have been going after the old air-cooled VW wheel look! (I'm sorry!)
I've heard stories of inattentive gas-station workers spinning those fake lug-nuts off. If I ever have someone remove my wheels I'll me sure to remove the wheel covers carefully myself. I'd hate to see someone throw them upside-down on the ground. ------------------ Unrestored 68 C-10 CST. 327 4-Speed. 48,000 miles. Don't you think the "gray" ones are just 34+ yrs of faded black? Not many shiney dark colored objects that old that have been sitting in weather will look too good or bright IMO.
