Window regulator roller replacement

Anyone replaced their window regulator rollers? They look to be pop-riveted in ... LOVE that!!!! ... and I'm wondering what I'm supposed to do after I drill those out?

If anyone has experience with this, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks,
Dave

Re: Window regulator roller replacement

My rollers were okay, but one of the rivets loosened up and wallowed out the hole as it spun over time. There was no way to put a replacement rivet back in the oversize hole, so I used a shower roller which bolts on. Crude and cheap, but so far it is working.

Re: Window regulator roller replacement

I have repaired several of mine. It's pretty easy the rollers I got came with special rivets. Works much better than the c**p replacement window regulators you can buy.

Re: Window regulator roller replacement

Could ya just replace the rivot with a bolt and self locking nut, or a tack weld.
