Does anyone know if someone makes "short" spark plugs to clear headers on a small block chevy? My son was just put some of those shorty headers on his 67 with a small block 400. They fit very well with plenty of clearence except the spark plugs almost hit the headers. Any suggestions? Thanks.........Flat67

Accel makes high performance header spark plugs. You can get them from Sumit, Jeg's, or most any auto parts store, I think Wal Mart even carries them.

yeah oreilly sells them i work there and i had to buy a set. their pretty handy. i had to use them because i have angle heads and the plug projects directly at the header

He just started it up . He's going to muffler shop in a few days to have the mufflers installed.........Flat67

They don't run, once you screw them in, they just sit there and wait for you to take them back out.

Other than that, they work just fine. Be sure that you get the right heat range.

Thanks guys, I found them at Summit but I couldn't tell how much shorter they were until I went to the Accel website and found a good picture. Thanks again.........Flat67
