'70 Chevy shortbox

I have a C10 I bought about 5 years ago, drove it around for a week or so and decided I was going to tear into it, well here it is, going on '07 and it is still apart, the fact that I have a few other things I love to ride or drive took away from the urgency to complete this project, here are the details: '70 shortbox, bought for a grand, box was junk, had a trucker bring one up from down south, I think it was like $500.00 or right around thier, pretty good shape, had it bead blasted, about $300.00, along w/doors, fenders and I think hood. Box is nice and straight, someone filled rear marker light holes, have original tailgate and new $100.00 one in box. (1) fender is original, the other is aftermarket, both doors are original and in good shape, glass and stuff is out of them right now, Have new cab corners, floor supports and rockers, NOT installed, all glass is thier and uncracked, rear is slider, front is clouded a little on some edges, 350/350, never ran numbers on engine to verify it is a 350, hadn't started it for a year or two, it turned over but did not start. Has been inside for the 5 years or so that I have had it. I think it might have been a utility vehicle at some point, yellow paint under black. Purchased a lowering kit from Classic Enterprises out of California, have same kit on my '71, lowered springs, shocks and panhard, droped spindles, shocks and disk conversion front, $1,100.00, kit is 90% installed. I believe I have the calipers and pads and if I remember correctly I put new inner ball joints in. It is 5 lug, have ralley wheels, Have new inner front fenders, came w/'71. No front or rear bumpers. Rust at battery box and radiator mount. Fenders ,hood and grill is off, doors/glass need to be put back together, interior panels, doors and roof, are thier, power stearing, no power brake. Have not touched it for a year or so, trying to get motivated to make it at least a run around/work truck ,may do it, but if anyone is interested I would let it go for $2,000.00, figure I have a bit over $4,000 in it right now. I am in Wi., about 1 hour east of the Twin Cities off I94. Will try to attatch a couple of pics I have, if I can't get them this time I will try and find the charger for my digital and take some more, it is in the shed and going no where right now. Sorry if I am a little unclear about a few things but it has been a while. Will answer any ?'s as best as possible, the price is firm, I may just as well keep it and plug away if I can't get that out of it. Can't get the 2 pics to download off my puter. Thanks

If you weren't so far away, I'd buy it.

Re: '70 Chevy shortbox

I might be interested in the extra tailgate if it's for a fleetside...
