Who has a Panoramic Cab 67?
I bought a 67 small window shortbed last month from a guy near Seattle. His pet project is a 67 LWB 1/2ton with a AC Panoramic Cab that he showed to me in his shop. I noticed some things about his cab that didn't click with it being a 67. It had a big ignition bezel and the fusebox mounted like 68 and up and no choke. So is this a true 67 or just a 68 AC cab?

Re: Who has a Panoramic Cab 67?
I think "panoramic" meant big back window as opposed to the small one on the 67
I could be wrong though. |

Re: Who has a Panoramic Cab 67?
Ben - It sounds like a 68 cab. I think the 67 would have the small ignition. The cluster could have been changed out. I didn't think the fuse block changed until 69 when they changed the E-brake.

Re: Who has a Panoramic Cab 67?
Would that have been listed on the options sheet in the glove box?

Re: Who has a Panoramic Cab 67?
I have 2 '67's.... one is the small window... other is the "Panoramic View"
Funny thing is they are both CST's... The small window truck has A/C, P/S, P/B, Auto, Bucket Seats, Stainless window trim and Stainless trim on pedals.... The "Panoramic View" has no A/C, no P/S, no P/B, 4 Speed, but does have the Stainless on windows and Pedals... Other than same colors they couldn't be more different and still be CST's...

Re: Who has a Panoramic Cab 67?
I don't know for sure but I believe panoramic view was actually early '68 production cabs as they ran out of small window cabs. They didn't expect these trucks to be that popular at the time. They were sold as '67's.Just my 2 cents worth......Rick

Re: Who has a Panoramic Cab 67?
They didn't run out of small window cabs. Trucks larger than 1 ton continued to use small window cabs through 1972 and in the 73+ models.

I've seen them in real life when I was wrenching on them about 20 years ago so I know they exist. Several years ago, I helped with harvest in Kansas and drove a 1976 C/60 grain truck that had a small back window. |

Re: Who has a Panoramic Cab 67?
Ben, I have a true '67 Panoramic but I ain't going out in this weather to look at it...LOL! I was going to bring it over to you in the next load! I am certain that it had a small ignition switch and bezel. The dash had a choke in the upper right though...just like the '68 as I recall. I would have to check that too. I thought the '68 had a small hole and bezel just like the '67.

Re: Who has a Panoramic Cab 67?
damn near all the big trucks were small window into the late 70's/early 80's...when ever they stopped selling that style truck.
Panoramic was an option from the get go on the 67...it was actually an option in the 60 - 66 models... not sure when it started, but I looked at a couple 65's with the panoramic. There's been reported sightings, but no one hyas proven that they made small window cabs (10 - 30 series) into the 68 model.... Loch Ness monster if you will. Everyone has seen one, yet no one can prove it. |

Re: Who has a Panoramic Cab 67?
I had a 1965 C-10 that had the large back window. It was also called the Panoramic Cab option on the SPID.
