well ya'll i did it this time

well unfortunalty i am putting my 68 on hold for awhile..last thurseday i tore my back up for about the 6th time..this one feels about like the 1rst time i did..i just went to the emergency room today because the pain finally got to bad to deal with,,the day after xmas i got to call a specialist...the bad thing is i might loose the deal i made for the parts truck i was buying for the motor...hopefully not,,but if i do,,well right now i got more important things to worry about,,and can always go with the big block..and god forbid if the worst happens i might have to sell my 68,,,,that will take somedoing to get me to do that..but thats life...
but anyway i hope you all have a merry xmas and a happy new year..

Sorry to hear that. It's bad enough to screw your back up any day but it just seems worse over the Holiday Season. Take it easy and Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to the Mason Family.

You gotta live with your back from now on, don't do anything that can't be undone.

Unhappy Re: well ya'll i did it this time

I can relate to your problem, i've been off work since the 7th of december. been through a bunch of x-rays, seen a spine specialist and now i'm going in for an MRI on the 8th of january then back to the spine specialist the next day. they THINK i have arthritis from top to bottom in my spine but the specialist saw something else in the x-rays that he's concerned about but wants the MRI done before he draws a conclusion--it appears i have three vertabrae that have no disc between them anymore. i have a cabinet full of pain killers, muscle relaxers, etc. and no income until state disability kicks in. thats the reason i've been selling a few things on here--thank goodness we had bought the kids most of their gifts before i got put off work.
it's been an ongoing problem for quite some time but i kept working through the pain but it finally got to the point that i couldn't live with it any longer.
hope everything works out for the best for you and your family.
happy holidays.

Red face Re: well ya'll i did it this time

Billy,
hope things are getting better. i've been thinking the same thing about changing occupations but all i know how to do involves hard physical labor. hell , i've got over 60k invested in tools at work and don't know if i'm gonna be able to use them anymore. it's really depressing sometimes to realize i'm getting old and can't do the crap i used to do 25 years ago. my dad is almost 76 and gets around better than i do.
best wishes.
