1 ton vs. 3/4 ton
trying to swap tires and wheels off of a '69 1 ton to a '71 3/4 ton and found out the wheel studs on the 1 ton are 1/2" and the wheel studs on the 3/4 ton are 3/4". That was a bummer. So I figured just make a quick trip to Pep Boys for lugnuts, right? Wrong! Tried to just fit the 16 inch wheels off the 1 ton on the front of the 3/4 ton and they won't even fit around the brake caliper. So lugnuts wouldn't of helped. Why would the 3/4 ton have everything so much bigger than a 1 ton?

Re: 1 ton vs. 3/4 ton
you have drum brake wheels (69) most of them if not all will not fit on disc brake suspension. Need to find 71 and later 8 lug wheels and look at the inner side of the wheel and see if it slopes gently from the lip (drum) to the center of the wheel or goes horizontal for a bit then slopes toward the center Disc) an over simplification but it will be obvious

Re: 1 ton vs. 3/4 ton
in 71, the studs got bigger, and also the wheels chainged to clear the calipers. The wheel chainged shape on the 1/2 tons too, the 6 lug drum brake wheels won't fit on 6 lug disks.
