Re: 1972 Leaf springs
I have 3/4 ton springs that I will be swapping out for 1/2 ton springs in the future. They are on a 1967 GMC truck.

Re: 1972 Leaf springs
I think rear 1/2 ton springs are longer on 67-68's than 69 and up....52" vs 56" I think... not sure about 3/4 ton...

Re: 1972 Leaf springs
Half ton were 52" springs.Newer 73+ models had the 56" rear springs on them.

Re: 1972 Leaf springs
my 68 has 56" rears, that's why I can't get a lift kit with rear springs for it...check out all the kits, they start at 69 and up. I can only get custom or blocks.

Re: 1972 Leaf springs
I was just wondering why you want 3/4 ton springs on a short bed. It would beat you to death. If you re going to pull a trailer get those add on air bags. They are cheap, quick and easy ti install and work great. You air it up when you have a load then air them back down like air shocks and keep your ride quality when you are done.
