Re: Long Distance Christmas

Not nearly as far away as yours, but my parents are in Coos Bay Oregon and my brother and sister-in-law are in LA. I just got off the phone with my parents about 20 minutes ago and I talked to my brother yesterday. I probably won't see my parents until early spring because they don't like to drive in the winter weather (and I don't like to do the drive with a 4 year old and a 7 month old), but my brother and sister-in-law will be here on Friday so they can meet their nephew.

Re: Long Distance Christmas

My 22 yr old daughter is in Michigan this year for Christmas. Her first one away from us. She called us while we were opening presents with the rest of the family. She ended up crying... homesick. At least she misses us - 'cause we sure do miss her

Re: Long Distance Christmas

I spent the holidays in Iraq. I only have 5 weeks left. I can't wait to get back the good old USA. I really can't wait to see the truck. Got her on jack stands and a truck cover. I plan on spending some time and money on her once it goods a little warmier in Utah. Merry Christmas to everyone!

Re: Long Distance Christmas

This is My families first Christmas in 12 years that we are away from my Mom and the rest of the family in Virginia. We just moved to Austria in July and I have been loving it here until Christmas Eve (my birthday) when I got depressed about missing the family tradition of doing all the festivities on my birthday. I think next year we will surprise my mom and show up for the fun. God Bless all the Military people that have had to do this for many years and a big thanks for keeping this country free.
